Not much in the way of butterflies here. Captured the Cinnabar the other day and the painted lady to day but that was a wash out. It wouldn't keep still. Herring gull chick which fell out ou it's nest and landed onthe front lawn

Well the sun eventually poked it's nose out this afternoon (first time for over a week) so went on a bug hunt, but saw just one marble white and one six spot burnet moth.

Have you got a wheat bag? They are marvelous. You warm them in the microwave oven for NO LONGER than two minutes and than rest you back on it . Fantastic

A trip to Bempton would have been nice Simon, but you would've had to carry me and the equipment:).
Not sure what the weather was like, but if the same as here it was overcast and a little on the cool side. The forcast is much the same for tomorrow.

Hi everyone, have been incapacitated for the past few days with severe backpain. It's easing a little now, enabling me to sit at the PC for a short while.

Hi all, its been a bit like winter hasn`t it, but that heat in cuba sounds a bit too much, Harry. Hope it was a nice trip. Just booked flights to the Dordogne for Simon and I for end of October, they say the photography opportunities are plentiful in Sarlat. Lots of old buildings.
